Maksim Bogdanovich Museum

The museum is a memorial and research center, which collects information on the literary and historical events linked with the name of the Belarusian poet Maksim Bogdanovich and the literary heritage of the Belarusian writers, artists of Grodna Region. Since 1986, the museum is located in a part of a wooden house built in 1888 in the former Malaya Sadovaya Street. The exposition consists of the following halls: "Portrait Gallery of Famous Figures of Belarus", "Grodna Period in the Life of the Bogdanovich Family", "Literary and Social Movement in the Late 19th - Early 20th Centuries", four memorial rooms: the father's cabinet, the mother's room, the kids' room, the living room and a separate section, called "The Literary Grodna Region: Past and Present Times" (dedicated to the life and works of famous literary figures of the Nieman Land). The museum collection consists of 14,745 items. These are the poet's personal things, documents, photographs, letters, household articles (the late 19th-early 20th centuries), written evidence of social and cultural life of the time and the heritage of poets and writers of Grodna region.
